Bill and Coo Boutique Hotel, Mykonos

I’ve just come back from a weekend girls-getaway in Mykonos, Greece. It was the perfect escape and just what I needed – sunshine, good food, cocktails and a stylish hotel to stay at.

I’m so glad I chose Bill and Coo Boutique Hotel (booked through Mr and Mrs. Smith) as our first hotel. It’s about a 10-15 minute lovely walk to get to the centre of of Mykonos town – down a hill and past the picturesque windmills.

Staying there was probably one of the most personalised hotel experiences I’ve had. Upon arrival I was seated at their chic restaurant with a welcome cocktail overlooking the infinity pool. The trip was already off to a good start and I hadn’t even checked in yet!

As the hotel manager guided me to my room he explained that the food they served was excellent (very true) and voted the best restaurant in Greece for the last 3 years running. He introduced me to all the staff, who all instantly shook my hand and welcomed me with big, warm smiles. They were all refreshingly friendly, it was so lovely, like I was paying a visit to old family friends.

He even gave me a small basic mobile to use during my stay, to which I could call the reception at any time for advice, directions or requests to be picked up anywhere on the island!

The room was gorgeous. It was modern, fresh and I loved the subtle white, pink and purple theme.

And then I walked out to the back patio and my vacation just got a whole lot better. Hello hot tub.

Although it was very windy (look at the tree!), it kind of made the whole view even more dramatic. The sea was such a bright blue, contrasting with the white-wash buildings dotted around.

When I came back in to the room, I was rather touched to see a welcome note had just been placed on the table with a large bunch of grapes.

You know when the hotel bathroom toiletries just never seem to be decent? Like they combine their shampoo + conditioner in one bottle (it’s just not the same!) or the conditioner just never gets those knots out of your hair..well the toiletries here were actually great!

And everyone loves big, white fluffy towels.

Not only is the pool incredibly peaceful and relaxing to chill by during the day on their big sun loungers, at night time it’s a whole new kind of special. The pool lights twinkle and shimmer, it’s completely dreamy. There really couldn’t be a more romantic setting.
